WMC Joins Washington Women in Jazz

Join the World Music Collective as we partner with Washington Women in Jazz to celebrate Women’s History Month. Our concert will feature original music by our bassist Karine Chapdelaine from her solo album combining rock and jazz styles with lyrics in English and her native language French. Karine has performed in Europe, South America, Mexico, Africa, and Asia sharing the stage with artists such as McCoy Tyner and Bobby McFerrin. She has also opened concerts for The Brecker Brothers, The Maria Schneider Orchestra, and Joe LaBarbara.
